Introduction
This website has been set up to distribute information about the tax markings of NSW from the time of joining UPU to the start of decimal currency.
It is a work in progress and is based on the website owners collection and personal research.
At it’s first exhibition in Melbourne 2009 National Show it received a Large Vermeil Award
The postage rates tables are provided for all to access to simplify the complex nature of the taxes charged. However some areas are too complex for the simplified table and need referral to other publications and papers. The goal of this site is to generate interest in this fascinating area of philately and further the research into areas that official records have been lost.
Any new information or corrections are welcomed and where practical and requested, will be acknowledged. If you believe something stated on this site is inaccurate for any reason and you have documented evidence to support your belief, please contact me so that I can keep the site as accurate as possible for research purposes.
